Our Wedding

<p>While we grew up in the same area, went to the same school and even hung out in similar circles, our paths never crossed. It wasn't until a gentle nudge from a friend to download a dating app, and the simple tap of the "like" button next to a photo of a cute guy holding his big, fluffy cat, that we'd get that chance. From then on, we'd talk every day. From the "good morning" text to the "good night" text, our conversations never went dull. Finally, after making him wait ever so patiently, we'd have our first date. At the end of a great night, she was convinced they'd be the best of friends. He'd still ask if she was free nearly every day after that. About a month later, they'd spend the day at the beach in Port Austin, playing in the water, watching fireworks. It was then that she realized that she had fallen head over heels for her best friend, and her "hot girl summer" would come to an end before it began. Thankfully, he was just as if not more smitten with her. Fast forward four years to a beautiful fall day spent at their favorite small town cider mill. She was snacking on cinnamon sugar donuts, and sipping on a cider slushy while sitting in the tail gate of his truck, when he came around the back and got down on one knee. The thought of walking down the aisle to him had her jumping for joy. It was the easiest "yes" she had ever given.</p>

Nessa has been my closest and dearest friend for nearly ten years. Over that time, she has become not only my best friend, but truly family. We’ve shared countless laughs and tears, supporting one another through every high and low.
Whether we’re clinking margarita glasses, refusing to steal each other’s stars during a competitive game of Mario Party, watching the tackiest and most gruesome horror movies we can find, or embarking on adventures across the state and beyond, we’ve created unforgettable memories and lifelong traditions.
Having Nessa stand by my side on this very special day is one more cherished memory to add to our ever-growing list, and I cannot imagine celebrating without her.

Sky is more than just my little sister—she is also a dear friend. I have always considered her one of God’s greatest gifts to me. Our age difference has given me the unique privilege of watching her grow from a tiny baby into the beautiful young woman she is today.
No matter how much time passes, we never seem to act our age. Whether we’re sword fighting in the middle of a store aisle, dancing in the kitchen, or putting on full concerts in the car, she always brings joy, laughter, and fun into my life.
I am so grateful to have Sky standing by my side on such an important day, and I can’t wait to dance and sing the night away with her.

Alyssa is one of the kindest, most caring, and thoughtful people I know, and I feel incredibly blessed to have called her one of my closest friends for nearly fifteen years. Throughout the years, we have supported one another through life’s many highs and lows.
After much convincing, Alyssa persuaded me to download a dating app. One particular girl’s night, while we were curled up on her couch with a glass of wine, we stumbled upon the profile of a cute young man holding a big, fluffy cat. Just like that, our “hot girl summer” came to an end before it even had the chance to begin. 
Gathered with those we love, playing card games, or getting thoroughly humbled in beer pong and bags, will always be some of my favorite memories. Although, standing by her side as she married the love of her life will always top that list. I couldn’t be happier to now have her stand beside me as I marry mine.

Laura is one of the most selfless, giving, and caring people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. There truly isn’t anything that she wouldn’t do for the people she loves, and I have been incredibly fortunate to experience her kindness firsthand, especially throughout the stresses of wedding planning.
Laura has welcomed me into her home more times than I can count, most often with a delicious, home-cooked meal. I always look forward to the backyard festivities, the towering annual bonfires, and the side-by-side rides that somehow always seem to end with me wearing my drink.
Standing by her side on her wedding day and dancing the night away in celebration are memories I will forever cherish. I am especially grateful to have her stand by my side on my wedding day.

Aubrey has so quickly become one of my closest friends. She has given me the blessing of both a true friendship and a second family in her and her girls. I always look forward to the opportunity to take part in after school pick-up, or any and all sporting events. 
Whether it’s our annual camping trip, gathering the day after Christmas, ringing in the New Year with a celebratory toast, breaking out of an escape room, lounging in the backyard beside a fire while the boys prepare a feast, or just cuddling up on the couch to watch a game, we have already made life-long traditions, and shared memories I hold dear.
Aubrey has a remarkable way of bringing people together and making every moment more meaningful. I have no doubt she will do the same throughout all of the wedding festivities, and I am so grateful to have her standing by my side. I can’t wait to do the same for her.

Ryan Anglea has been part of my life for over 25 years, and somewhere along the way, he became more like family than a friend. Lighthearted, caring, and never afraid to be the loudest voice in the room (in the best way), Ryan brings energy and humor wherever he goes. He’s the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—loyal, funny, and always in your corner no matter the situation (even the “Max & Erma’s” incident). Simply put, Ryan is exactly what you’d want in a best friend—and even more so in a best man.

From weekly dinners to backyard BBQs and hockey games, Alex has been a constant through it all. A devoted family man who truly values the people in his life, Alex is as genuine and dependable as they come—and overall, just a great guy to have by your side.

Josh Rynbrandt has become a big part of my life over the past five years. Always down to get together, Josh and his fiancée Nessa are the first people Anthony and Hannah call when it’s time for an adventure. The four of them make it a point to spend—or at least see each other—every holiday, and have built countless memories traveling to places like Nashville, St. Louis, and their annual Charlevoix trip. Josh is fun, supportive, and always up for a good time, making him an easy friend to appreciate and a great one to keep close.

Andy Jackson and I go all the way back to high school, where their friendship started with a hangout at a Cici’s Pizza buffet. Since then, it’s been years of backyard BBQs, yard games, and good times together. Andy is fun, easygoing, and full of positive energy—someone who brings a lighthearted spirit to any group and makes every gathering better.

Justin Dodt has been part of my life for about seven years, though depending on the day, you might hear him called Jim, Jim Bob, Jerry—or just about anything but Justin. Despite the ongoing name game, one thing that never changes is how easy he is to be around. Laid-back and genuine, Justin is someone who truly values his friendships, making him a great friend and an even better addition to the group.
